Lettuce Does Contain Protein

I made the argument the other day that lettuce does contain protein, and all the meat eaters around me begged to differ. So a few google searches later, we find that the reliable word on the street is that it does contain 0.7g of protein per 100g of lettuce. Obviously your mileage may vary depending on which kind of lettuce, and you would have to eat quite a bit of it to get your daily recommended 60-80 grams needed for an average adult. Lettuce does contain protein though, just continue to add those walnuts and sunflower seeds to help round it out.
