Not all veggie burgers are created equal

When your craving that burger, you head out to the burger joint. You know that McDonald's, Burger King, and Wendy’s don’t have one. Five Guys Burgers and Fries will laugh at you, but at least they have a grilled cheese which is delicious. Thankfully Chipotle and Moe’s have alternatives for us.

But I want a BURGER! You know a nice big fat juicy slice o burger stacked with all the toppings and some french fries. I’ve seen several restaurants tackle it with the frozen variety. They are obviously using frozen burger patties as well I imagine, so why not the same with the veggie side. Those all fail. They are too thin, or too tough, and just don’t have the quality that we’re looking for.

Other restaurants seem to make their own, various selections from red beans to quinoa. You can tell which places have actually tried their own veggie burgers, and which ones have not in this department. Some are undercooked, now I know they don’t need to be cooked at all really, but they do need to have the slightly harder outside shell, to help them hold together. And just last week I had one that kinda fell apart and was cold as soon as I bit into it.

I think there is a mission here MEN. Come up with the perfect thick juicy, cooks well veggie burger, and spread that recipe around. At least the one place I’ve found near me has sweet potato fries with it. Please share that recipe if you find it!
