How I Lost 220 Pounds, Became an Ultra-Runner, and Transformed My Life

As you may be able to tell by my very French-sounding last name, I am proudly from South Louisiana, where we “live to eat” (it’s even on billboards … really!). I grew up hunting, fishing, drinking, playing football, and eating a lot of deep fried and rich Cajun foods. Until a few years ago, I was also on the fast track to becoming a statistic.
