Maxime’s journey is anything but linear. He grew up on a farm in Quebec, became a competitive bodybuilder, transitioned into modeling, and eventually discovered the limits of extreme approaches to fitness. “Success comes from consistency—small, imperfect actions done over time,” he explains. That realization became the foundation of his work helping people improve body composition, reduce chronic disease risk, and protect their bodies for the long run.


One major shift Maxime made was rebranding from Fit Vegan Coaching to Mavy Wellness. The mission stayed the same—help people eat whole-food, plant-based—but the language changed. He noticed many people were curious about plant-based eating yet hesitant to embrace the word “vegan.” Removing that barrier allowed him to reach a broader audience without compromising outcomes: better health, fewer animal products, and less environmental impact.


The conversation also dives into protein myths, where Maxime emphasizes that muscle is built through training, not hamburgers. “Fitness builds the body—nutrition reveals it,” he says. For most people focused on longevity and wellness, obsessing over protein misses the bigger picture. Whole-food, plant-based eating provides what the body needs, especially when paired with regular movement.


Maxime also shares insights from his new book, Forever Fit, which distills years of coaching into a simple philosophy: goals matter more than timelines, and “you can’t compound zero percent.”
